چکیده
Background: Secondary aortoenteric fistula (AEF) is rare but devastating complication of abdominal aortic reconstruction surgery for aneurysm. Most patients presented with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding. CTA abdomen usually performed to attain the diagnosis. However, AEF has invariable appearances on CT where mostly are non-specific and similar perigraft infection (PGI). A case secondary following multiple series surgery, manifestation recurrent pseudo-aneurysm stump, presented. Case Presentation: 65 years old man who had undergone reconstructive infra-renal aneurysm acutely hematemesis per rectal Initial revealed pseudoaneurysm distal which was successfully embolized coils. symptoms recurred repeated showed new no typical findings AEF. Emergency laparotomy confirmed at duodenojejunal junction that repaired primary closure. Unfortunately, patient died 3 days later due post-operative complications. Conclusion: Presence background should raise suspicion AEF, especially in history intervention gastro-intestinal invaluable providing diagnosis despite its variable manifestations.

Mycotic aortic aneurysms account for 1–3% of all aortic aneurysms. The management of this disease is controversial. Since open surgical repair is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates, endovascular aneurysm repair is an alternative treatment method with promising early and midterm outcomes, although its long-term durability is unknown.Secondary aortoenteric fistulas may occur iatro...

Introduction: Secondary aortoenteric fistula (SAF) is an uncommon, but very important complication of abdominal aortic reconstruction. The complication often occurs months to years after aortic surgery. The clinical manifestation of the aortoenteric fistula is always upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Treatment of the disease is early surgical intervention. If operative treatment is not performed...

We report the case of a 64-year-old male patient with graft-enteric fistula. This complication might have been induced by sigmoid colonic ischemia resulting from injury to the mesocolon during abdominal aortic reconstruction. Although sigmoid colonic exteriorization was performed to avoid simultaneous colonic resection, graft-enteric fistula could not be prevented. Two further emergent operatio...
